Comprehensive Practice Set — Polity & Governance: International Relations

10 min read

Topic-wise practice set of 74 questions on International Relations for OPSC OAS Mains GS-II.

On this page

Part of the Polity & Governance question bank for OPSC (OAS) Mains GS-II.

A comprehensive, topic-wise practice set of 74 questions on International Relations for OPSC (OAS) Mains General Studies-II. 15 of them have been set in an actual paper — the year and exam are printed against each (2026, 2024, 2021, 2006). The rest are practice questions on the same syllabus points.

GS-II in CSM-5/20 and CSM-5/21 carried a heavy international relations load (Ukraine, WTO, ICJ, G-20, FTAs, Indo-US, Africa, Afghanistan). The paper has since narrowed to polity and governance, but the syllabus has not, and these questions have been set. Treat this section as insurance — read it once, write four or five answers, do not spend a month here.

Write to the paper. Group-A answers are 250 words for 15 marks, Group-B 300 words for 20 marks — about ten to eleven minutes an answer including thinking time. Attempt the dated questions first: those are the ones that have actually come.
